Welcome to the Directorate of Christian Education! I am Pastor Kolawole Babatunde, and I am honored to lead this department of empowering Christian leaders through education, training, and spiritual growth. DCE was established in 1992 and this was actually the fruit of a vision the Holy Spirit gave to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye sometime in 1990.

We are a Christian education organization focused on building and equipping Christian leaders for various fields through education. The primary assignment of DCE is to focus on the Sunday School system, minister the word to individuals, nurture them from the grassroots to all levels of discipleship and maturity, and develop a deliberate strategy for complementing and reinforcing the spiritual quality of members of the Church.
After the establishment, the Directorate of Christian Education introduced the idea of Sunday School coordinators. Since then, many training programs have been organized in the Regions, Provinces, etc. to equip the Sunday School teachers. The Sunday School manuals published by the Directorate of Christian Education for the spiritual nourishment and edification of the body of Christ are the toast of RCCG members and other denominations that use them for their spiritual growth and training programs.
The Directorate of Christian Education (DCE) has grown over the years to have a tremendous impact on the body of Christ. This has also resulted in phenomenal growth in Church attendance and participation in the Directorate’s Sunday School Teachers’ training program.
Many members have been drawn into the Church through the instrument of Sunday School. By the grace of God, DCE has over the years, provided the Church with a pool of resource personnel and leaders in various capacities in the mission for kingdom services.
The Directorate of Christian Education is currently publishing the Braille Sunday School manual for the blind while we also have the Sunday School manual in Arabic. The Youth manual for Youths and Young Adults is also available.
